Using everything you have learned this semester, do one of our assignments from earlier in the semester again. This should reflect the new skills and ways of looking you have developed. This should be a totally new realization of the assignment, though the content can be similar. In addition to posting the work, please mention what week # the original assignment is from. Let me know if you wish to change some of the parameters of the original assignment.
02/28 – Week 5 Poster Assignment
Assignment Description Clarification:
This poster is not just about racism. It is also about sexual orientation. I left the interpretation open by including the rainbow that symbolizes so much more than color.
I fantasize about creating a video to redefine what skin color has come to mean, but I have been warned to steer clear of the subject matter. That is why I used adult toys to touch on the subject, but in my dream world they would be people. In opposition to what people insist, I do believe this is my story to tell because I am a light being and can’t stand when people judge others based on the color of their skin.
Color is color - it means absolutely nothing! The fact that we have created a such discrimination based on it, is proof of how stupid humans can be as a collective whole and the importance of following our own internal compass.

These are location options to apply a similar technique, but it isn’t quite communicating the concept. I still need to come up with alternatives. Maybe the problem is the starting image. Do you think I should do some closeups in addition to the birds-eye view wides, or a completely different concept.
